From the very first note, you know you will be hearing something special. Following her life long musical path, Ellie continues to showcase her unique sound. Her mezzo soprano voice has been compared to the warmth of a cello. After training in piano performance, she has successfully made the transition to voice, winning the N.A.T.S. (National Association Teachers of Singing) competition, in Ottawa, for the two years she entered.
Previously, under the guidance and expertise of voice teacher Yoriko Tanno, vocal coach Stuart Hamilton and Jose Hernandez, as well as Laurence Ewashko, Ellie has continued her journey towards excellence.
She is at home in many genres, from Musical Theatre, Opera, Art Song and Oratorio to Jewish Liturgical music. Ellie is available to sing for weddings, funerals or other special events where she can personalize the music and offer celebration or comfort as the specific occasion requires.
