
Ellie Glantz is best known for her captivating and soulful renditions of song and prayer for Jewish Liturgy, both in the synagogue and on the concert stage. As former Cantorial Soloist & Music Director of Temple Israel (Ottawa), she designed the musical programme and officiated at all High Holy Days services, major festivals, as well as life-cycle events. Presently, she leads the music repertoire for services at Congregation Iyr HaMelech (Kingston).
Ellie is the dynamic force behind the formation and leadership of Shir Chadash Ottawa, a reform worship group that gathers every second week for an inspirational Kabbalat Shabbat Service.
Ellie is a member of the Ewashko Singers, under the direction of Laurence Ewashko, The Festival Chorus at the National Arts Centre, as well as being an alto in the Opera Lyra Ottawa Chorus. She regularly performs a wide range of choral and solo music under the batons of numerous world-class conductors, performances, both choral and solo.
